Some kind of grease all over the inside of the wheel.
Just jack that wheel up and feel around the boot and you'll most likely find it torn. Was it the EF or your Si? I'm guessing EF and the boots just dryrotted and failed. You can buy new boots but it's probably worthwhile to just get a whole new axle for that side.
