Should I wd-40 it or something? It sucks that it has a hole in it.

shift linkage pin...

Grab it with vise grips and pull on it. You'll notice it has a groove going through it... you can compress that thing.

If you can't get to the top to pull it out, take those vicegrips, lock a bolt into that is basically the same diameter as the pin (small enough to fit into the linkage but not small enough to get stuck in the pin itself) and hammer the sucker home. The vicegrips will let you hold the bolt and swing the hammer without loosing any fingers and it's typically short enough to actually let you swing (most full size punches that would work here are too long to let you swing when the car is only on jack stands). Make sure the bolt isn't important as the vicegrips will typically destroy the threads.

those pins are the biggest pain in the ass. Took me forever to get mine off. I did exactly what "andy" is saying. Found a bolt that fit in there and wacked it with a hammer.

Mine came out when I did mine, I got lucky....

Andy is right on this one, makes it pretty easy.

I pulled the engine out with the linkage unharmed I got lucky It just came right on out, didn't get jammed or anything!!! My engines out!
