What pins do I test on the VCC?

blk pin is ground
yellow/ white is to the speedo
yellow/ blue is for power/ ignition

the procedure for testing this is in the stickies under the 92-95 manuals section 11-74. Look it up in there.

i had the same problem.....i looked at the connecting points of the plug in harness. one was green and corroded. i took apart the pins and cleaned them up....worked fine ever since. i also want to add the i also had another problem....turned out to be the igniter in the distrubutor.

Anyone know if the harness for VSS on a '96 civic is difficult to remove?? Is it bound to any other harnesses or wires?

I had the instrument cluster out of my 98 Civic yesterday on Xmas, changing a bulb, and I can tell you from the cluster-end, it is wrapped up with the rest of the cluster cables (two big blue/green ones, an orange, green, etc).
