Default spark plugs do that??

ok i just replaced my spark plugs and i should say that they were long over due for it. when i turned on my car it idled fine for about 30 seconds and then it shot up to about 2200 and kept climbing slowly to about 3100 where it rested for a while until i turned it off. about 1 hour later i came back out to go somewhere and it did the same thing when i started it up only went straight to 3000. so i started driving and i noticed that when its in gear it jerked a little bit(in 1,2,3) and when i pushed in the clutch it would stay at whatever rpm it was at b4 i pushed in the clutch. also it seemed to back down alittle when i would be breaking unless i hit a bump then the rpms would go up and down slightly. wtf is the deal anyone have any clue and could it be the new plugs?????

thanks

my guess is maybe a vacuum hose got knocked loose, or a leak developed somewhere

to answer directly... no replacing the plugs will not do that.

triple check everything, something got bumped or knocked loose.
Did you reset the ECU after doing this? sounds silly but it may help.

Sounds like a sticking throttle. Remove it, clean it, and reinstall with a new gasket.

IMO the throttlebody will get gummed out before the cable gets pinched somehow.. It's an easy enough cleaning job, just take it off (not before making sure you have the right gaskets to put it back on) , clean the gasket material off, use carb cleaner to get all the dirt and gum out, (optionally send it away to get ported) and reinstall with new gasket

If you think either of them are sticking you can usually check to see if they are before hand using a multimeter on the TPS
