Couldn't he just use an aem adjustible cam or no?

that would only allow you to change cam timing.

i have a 2000 Si and i have thought about getting a vtec controller but really you dont need one. leave the vtec where it is. i heard that if you lower the rpm's on the controller to far that it will mess with the way your car runs, for example when your vtec goes to kick in your car will seem like its bogging out. my vtec kicks in at 5200 and im happy as it is.
