Turbo longevity and maintenance

I can still get 420 miles to the tank on a trip, but only if I am not in WV, the turbo loves the hills :grinpimp:

And yes I am sure, I put a turbo on it
h: Mine got better gas milage with the stock stuff off (CAI, header, exhaust) I am guessing by less air restriction. And with using Mobil1 and NGK spark plugs I also saw a benefit.
Wow. Good for you. I'd have to have a tail wind following me whereever I go or live in an Escher world where I'm always driving downhill to get mpg like that on my 97 ex.

It's a european pseudo-luxury car that's one of the top rated vehicles for safety. Other manufacturers have tried to build an engine like this and got it all wrong.
What you'd pay for the Saab, you could by 10 AWD DSMs for, though.

You won't get good gas mileage with any AWD car, period. Way too much rotating mass in the drivetrain to pull that off. But you'll at least enjoy every penny of your gas budget.
