hatchback civic
Because 2 doors and a tailgate works just fine for most people, and the hatches get better gas mileage because they're lighter and have a smaller engine in some cases.
Through my insurance company, there is no difference in insurance rates for either model. The most expensive non-electrical part on either one is $30, so there's no advantage there. It all comes down to personal preference.
Personally, I like my hatch more than I would a fodo, unless it had previously been owned by WestCoastStyle. Then, maybe I wouldn't mind all the extra doors and weight.

also the hatchies are a little bit lighter than the coupe and much lighter than a 4 door
