wuts up witht he b16a i hear it s great turbo motor. www.importbuilders.com has anyone heard of this guy. He seems to really push the b16a as the best motor for turbo. I think im going to go with the b18b but i really wanted vtech and money is an issue. I think the extra 40 hp and 40 tq will keep me busy for a few. Will it keep up with an si (b16a)? The newer ones that is. Am i better getting an H22 as they the same price as the b18b?

I hate my slow car my friends always bounce on me when we hit the highway. They drive 2000 SI hatch, scion tc, gsr, mazda3, and eclipse turbo. Got some others but they way out my league. lol. well looking like the b18b might be the best bet. how much hp and tq can i push on a turbo b18b stock @ how many psi. Safely that is?? I got about a month b4 i start the swap need info.

any info helps!!!

The bottom end of a B20 is about par with any D-series and their toothpicks they call rods. So with the extra torque, extra horsepower, and extra camshaft, I would take one over a D anyday.

B18b swap with turbo!

u'll be able to run about 12lbs on stock internals if your tuned right. Hell u could stick a 4lbs. spring in your wastgate & toast your buddy's 2000Si

& when u wanna run more boost down the road, u could change out your internals / build the motor & dump on even more boost!

b18b turbo looks like the way to go. Just have to wait on the turbo and tuning for a few i should be able to keep up with a 2000 si hatch though with the b18b right?

In your signature it says you have an EK9, why would you swap out the B16b?

na i meant the ek9 body style. most people kno wut im talking about when i say the ek9. I wish i had the b16b but i heard its not as good as the b18c5. except that it revs higher. Which would u go with tehjustin GSR/ITR or turbo b18b?

I'd go with an ITR swap simply because I'd rather have n/a than turbo.

forced induction is almost always faster than n/a... for a street/strip car, I'd always go with turbo.

Turbo can be a handfull on the autocross course, however, which is why I don't plan on truboing my car.
