Default Oh the AGONY! of Civics

Hey

I admit that i am inlove with civc (99-01) i think they are the kewlest cars to fix up they look great. The only thing keeping me from buying one and trick'n it out is they are FWD O the agony. Why are they fwd?,, gas mileage?. Please correct me if im wrong but arnt FWD horrible for racing?, well compared to RWD?. Is there a way to make a civic RWD, in a modest price range? Stock FWD racing a Stock RWD both cars same HP numbers everything the same cept FWD,RWD. Wouldnt the RWD win? ISnt that why all the killer sports cars are RWD such as, Supras,
RX-7, Corvette, Camaro, Viper ...ect.
Help put me out my missery please!
Thanks

ummmm....buy a camaro,mustang,etc.... you'll be happier....Civics are Slow and they arent meant to be fast cars....ask WideBodyEk or WestCoastStyleh:

converting a civic to rwd is a pain in the ass, an expensive not worth it in my opinion if your on a budget.

Front wheel drive provides better gas milage (smaller drivetrain, less mechanical drag) and gives the car the tendancy to understeer (the average person reacts better to understeer then oversteer in an emergency situation.)

No.

Yes, the RWD would win in a 'perfect' situation.

why civics? cuz back in the day, when i was a wee child and the people that pioneered this "scene" were just getting into it, they couldnt afford camaros, mustangs, vettes, etc.... their parents gave them hondas, mazdas, etc...(any other fuel economic vehicle)so they found every way possible to make them a tad bit faster. then again, i wouldnt really know, i was 5 years old when the whole "import" deal started gaining ground and really started to hit off

^^^^^^ that right there, i was 50/50 joking and truthful. Mainly cuz those two guys i mentioned have some pretty sick/fast cars. but most V6,V8,etc...engines modified correctly will always out do a 4 banger in a straight line.

that is what you were disagreeing to right?
