Inner Splash Guard
What's the cons to pulling out the inner splash guard in the front fenders. My tires have rubbed the plastic screw down and they are kind of just hanging down to where they rub constantly.
it may promote rust sooner, maybe. but my guards have been off since i bought it in september, they have just sat there in my garage since then and i havent had any problems with it.....go ahead just take out i dare ya
DIdn't I just answer your question last night on AIM? What you don't believe me?

i jack mines up when i got into my accident. order brand new oem ones and slap em back on, cuz i got rocks, pebbles, and misc crap flying thru the fender and such makin it all dirty. as for the rubbin problem, i roll my fender so it bends in a bit more, so it the tire clears it now.
hate to put it this way but it's really simple man....
SPLASH GUARD - guards against splash
If you don't have anything you splash through that you don't mind getting everywhere in your engine bay or the potential of your tires picking up little rocks and throwing throwing them into your fender, go for it.
simple solution for the little plastic screw is to "roll" the little tab that it sits in up into the fender with your fingers. Push it up about 1/2"-3/4", it will be obvious when the fender liner can't go anymore. Mine used to rub any time I turned, I did this and it has not rubbed since.

I have added extra weather stripping around the trunk lid already.
fenders & such will rust quicker w/o those. dirt, mud, snow... everything will end up caked between the door & your fender. it sucks. plus, w/ a CAI, that's a bad idea. you will prolly end up getting water in it. you'll really have to watch big ass puddles. hydrolocking = bitch and a half
