Default molding metal body parts to plastic/fiberglass....

I was just wondering what material is best to use when molding, for example, a body kit to a metal body. since metal expands/contracts at a different rate than plastic/fiberglass, what would be the best to use to mold the 2 together??

use fiberglass with a resin more acceptable to flexing such as polyester resin. then sand the hell out of it and make the molding smooth with a THIN layer of bondo. :thumbup:

bondo == fiberglass + resin

you might get better results with an epoxy based solution, but in either case DONT GET THE GLASS WET in ANY way...or else you get to do it again. dont even do it on a humid day...dont use more than a thumbs thickness of it ever, etc, etc.

me no like bondo
