Default stock keyless entry ?

i'm getting ready to purchase a viper alarm system. i have a '98 ex and was wondering if i could have them hook up the stock keyless entry to the viper and not have to get that feature in the viper alarms system so i can save $50. well i'm going to put that right back into a backup battery. but i'm doing that regardless so i guess i'd still be saving money.

You may have better luck in the Electronics forum...I can't help you with your question, but maybe someone in there can?

this might be too late for you but...

you don't have to upgrade the Viper system to make your power door locks work. the reason why retail places say so is for one thing..MONEY!!!!

the upgraded version might include a relay pack for power door locks. 90% of vipers have a negative trigger output already built in regardless of the model. this negative trigger produces a signal enough to power your factory door locks, which is already ran by relays:thumbup:

theres only like 2 wires to hook up for keyless. ask the guy to "throw it in" for free. its too bad you're getting a viper tho
