tranny grind

I have been doing some reading on the 3rd gear grind....do i need to get a whole rebuilt tranny or just replace the syncros. the syncros are the prob right???

Just the synchros, but if you have to tear the tranny apart and separate the counter shaft components (syncros) , I think you are looking at the same thing...
