It is NOT legal to remove the air bag and not replace it.

However, if you get the JDM steering wheel with the SRS, then you are fine.

Step one of that procedure should be unplug your battery and wait several minutes so that you do not deploy the airbag in your face.

fyi: my cousin has a 92 dx up in canada, w/o an airbag. the steering wheel is the same as the JDM one
