Clutch and flywheel recommendations
I have a 96 Civic EX that has fallen victim to a tranny grind on the upshift into third gear. I tried using the GM Friction Modified Syncromesh Tranny fluid, after using Honda MTF, and neither of them helped even a bit. I'm looking at putting a used transmission on it, but the one I'm looking at is just the tranny.
My question is if anybody has any recommendations on a clutch or flywheel to use with it. Its a stock tranny with only 35,000 miles on it (the car has 113K on it). I want the clutch to feel like stock, but am not necessarily opposed to using performance parts. I'm not big into mods for this car, and would be just fine with going with OEM parts, but figured I'd check to see if anybody had any recommendations. I'm not looking to spend a ton a money, but could spend a little more for better parts.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Honda manual trannies are notorious for the 3rd gear grind. I've heard that GM Syncromesh is only a temporary fix - it hurts your tranny in the long run. I would stick with Honda MTF.
As for a clutch/flywheel recommendation, if you don't mind the stock engaugement, go with one of those cheap ebay Exedy OEM replacements.
