powershifting???

Why we have clutches in our cars then? It's not there for aesthetics. What would you rather do? Powershift and have your tranny go dead? Or for an extra 1/2 second push your clutch in and shift and have your tranny last forever?

Is STEPPING on a clutch that difficult?
If people don't want to drive while having to step on a clutch, there IS a thing called automatic.

It is true that you can shift without touching the clutch by matching shift points, guys in Semi's do it all the time. Though i don't reccomend it. Just listen to Max and buy an auto if you dont want to shift :wtf:

Yes, "powershifting" can be done and I highly doubt it hurts your transmission. I've dove it many times, in many cars/trucks. You can only do it correctly at certain RPMs. It doesn't save much time so there's really no point in doing it. And NO I don't drive around in my Prelude "powershifting" all the time, but I do it on occasion just for the hell of it. If done correctly, it shifts right to the next gear, nice and smoothly.
