Yes, "powershifting" can be done and I highly doubt it hurts your transmission. I've dove it many times, in many cars/trucks. You can only do it correctly at certain RPMs. It doesn't save much time so there's really no point in doing it. And NO I don't drive around in my Prelude "powershifting" all the time, but I do it on occasion just for the hell of it. If done correctly, it shifts right to the next gear, nice and smoothly.
hush you, shifting gears in a syncronized transmission without using the clutch will definately fawk it up in the long run.
