It's a ZC. Learn it, love it. The only thing stamped on the block is "ZC," every ZC engine is a 1.6l of D-series origin. There is no such thing as a "D16ZC."Rare, yes. Useful, no. It's a VTEC-E system and a standard SOHC VTEC system built into one engine... not good for all-out performance.

Look at this link, it will answer all of your D15B questions. The 130 HP D15B is basically a Civic VX block with a D16Z6 head.

Just get a D16Z6. I bought a brand new D16Z6 short block for my hatch for $390.00 on ebay last year. Then I had an old D16Z6 head rebuilt for $130.00. So basically I got a brand new D16Z6 for less than $600.00.

 

ok look i have 650.00 coming in and another 1012.00 from school the prob. is that i cant save money thats why im going sohc vtec but u guys say that the d15b is a bad pick so now im thinking d16z6 but i cant find one so help im going crazy here with all the responses still the input is good stuff but plez help throw my money into my car thanks

 

Can you throw the D15 3 stage head on a 1.6 bottom end?

I think on the 130HP D15B you can run the P28 but not on the VTEC-E version. Look online, D16Z6's are all over the place.
