get a ex header and cat. espically if your looking at having a shop do it they will charge more to modify then to just flat out install so get the needed parts. I would still have to say do it your self but if your not mechanically inclined then take it to a shop it wont be cheep though you may be looking at any where from 200 to id say about no more than 400 to install but that only if you get the ex parts need.

 

Wow.. I'd probably get with my friend and install it myself. So what kind of header and catalytic converter do I need? I've bought the whole catback exhaust system (Twin Canister System by DC Sports). Thank you for helping me out.

 

you could either choose to get an after market ex header and ex cat or get the stock ones its up to you. the difference in header is that yours has the cat built in to it unlike the ex the ex cat is sepperate from the header. so to make it clear you need ex header and ex cat to make it work. hope this helps.

heyMBison what did you learn about the magnaflow anything i was just curios cause i was thinking of the same thing for my 98 civic ex and i was quoted 235 installed for a single cat on it for the magnaflow by a guy in the san francisco area. it should be around the same price to get the dc sport installed maybe a little higher. newaiz lemme know how it comes out.

 

yea you can buy an EX header, stock ones usually cost more new from the dealer. id just grab a dc sports piece.

235 is a great price. I paid 320 for a magnaflow 14840 muffler (MSRP 175), and 2.5" custom exhaust from the headers back at a shop in Austin.
