Default Tie Rod Ends

Ok i have a theory/question. COuld you take the tie rod ends and flip them side to side and from the top to the bottom. IE use the passenger on the drivers side but instead of haveing the nut on the bottom of the mounting point invert it.( nut on the top and balljoint ont he bottom) I would think this would help the steering in a lowered car. Any opinions are welcome, like i said i wonder if this would help or not. Thanks

I seriously do not see why not.
Post 97 (pretty sure) Honda discontinued cotter pins on them, so de-threading and falling out would be the only cause for failure that I can see...but what are the chances of that?

If I hadn't changed them just last year I'd give it a shot. But the gains would be pretty minimal, and maybe not even justifiable.

No, because the hole and the joint end that goes through it are conical shaped, smaller at one end than the the other.

no you cant. the geometry wouldnt match up and you would immediately destroy the joint on the tie rod. Why would you want to do this anyways?

If you put the left on the right and flipped it, it would be the same geometry.
