ummm, 5th gens are 92-95(EG), 6th gens are 96-00(EK).
the honda service manual for the 96-00 civic states that the procedure is identical as that listed on the site.
you can also use a code scanner connected to the OBD2 port under the dash neer the left side panel.

well which pins on the connector do I jump then? That connector is for obd1. You know the connector looks different. I know the wires are blue/wht, blue, grey(I think), 2 blacks for gnd maybe.
quote from the 96-00 service manual.
"the 2P service check connector is located under the dash on the passenger's side of the vehicle."
the same location as the OBD1 cars.
it is not the same wires or connections as the OBD2 connector on the driver's side of the car.
the wire colors of this two pin connector are brown(runs to A10 of the ECU) and black(ground)

The 5th gen, 6th gen and all the teg years that I've dealt with (94-01) have the same connector. Check the sticky at the top of this section for these kinds of questions in the future. We keep it updated for exactly these kinds of situations.
