I run a custom made catback at 2.5" and a 12" resonator in it. 3" is overkill for this build, imho.

Make sure you explain the importance of sleeving your engine WCS :db:

hey IMPORTGIRL76 ... it's better if you buy a B16 or B18... and sell your engine to get some money back...

Not true. The turbo D is quite potent. Don't listen to this guy...

And you weren't pushing 20 psi through an unsleeved block either, but for your first setup, it was not necessary, now, it is like very cheap insurance for the amount of abuse the motor takes.

A turbo is very potent, especially once the engine gets used to having boost in it. All my parts took about 3 months to get fully broke in, and I can promise you, it has a lot more power than a stock B16 or B18, and it sounds a lot better

Good luck with it, still wish you would have stuck to the D.

That is a big job, just have fun and learn what you can.

Oh and buy a set of metric reversible ratcheting wrenches, you will thank me later.

Make sure you get ECU, axles, 1/2 shaft (a.k.a. intermediate shaft), mounts, wiring harness, tranny, and that the whole motor is intact. If you're not getting all of these things, I'd like to know how much you are paying because you will end up spending a lot on these extra parts that will no longer make it a 'great deal'.
