where to get paint from?
i was wondering if there is a certian spot i should by oem paint from besides honda (if they even sell it) and clear coat....and i think clear coat makes the color what you see on the outside..now if you spray to much cc it wont look like the color and same if you spray to less...how many cc and bass coats should it be?
Honda only sells the little bottles of touch up paint. I've been trying to find ANY brand of paint that does Captiva blue since I bought my car 2 1/2 years ago... No luck. Only way to do it is to have it mixed.

damn...getting it mixed does that mean it wont come out perfectly?
depends how good the shop is. Some will match it to YOUR paint. That way it matches the fading or if it was mixed SLIGHTLY differently at the factory. Other shops do it off the paint code. So if you are going to blend it, no problem. If you just want to do one panel and be done... Might not look right. Just depends on the condition of your paint.

theres a shop around here, they generally mix off of the paint codes, but they blend it...its very hard to tell if you have a professional do it.
btw, there is no color in clear coat, thats why its called CLEAR COAT, and thats why its so blood hard to use.

didnt say clear coat has color in it...if you spray ei, 14 clear coats on a car w/ the same base to one you spray 4 clear coats on...the color will dastically change.
