I'm guessing this bolt would be the same from drum brakes eh?

No, the control arm in the front is held on to the body by a bolt and a hanger with 3 bolts, onto the suspension by the lower fork bolt and onto the break assembly by the lower balljoint. You'll have to most likely replace the balljoint boot if you seperate it from the control arm. It's MUCH easier to just remove the lower bolt on the fork. It's a nut and bolt so you're not very likely to break it off. Both 17mm btw.
