ok i never really gave it any thought but can someone with knowledge explain to me how a reground cam makes more power than a stock cam.. i was just talking to a domestic enthusiasts... and well... we just don't understand.. if you grind somethign off a stock cam it would make the lift and everything smaller???

help me understand please

 

Maybe american cars regrind them to get them into factory specs
