Default How to turn My 94 EX into a Si...?

I want to turn my EX into an Si, but I dont just want to slap a sticker on it and call it good. I want to know what the difference was between the EX and Si in 94, and what I need to turn my car into an Si?
The only thing I dont want is AC (I live in WA we dont need it here)

1994 Honda Civic EX: D16Z6, All power options, Sunroof, stock 6 disk changer with stock upgraded AR (Acoustic Research) stereo (not sure if thats what came in all of them, but I have all stock speakers and they are all Pioneer with AR emblems on the covers. I am geting the Clear/Red tails, and have clear front corners.

I think the Si came with a Spoiler, but not sure what one...Or if it had LED's in the spoiler with no 3rd rear window brake light?

SI coupes were only made in 99-00 so no matter what you do your car wont ever look like one. sell it and buy a SI if you want one that bad

You'd have to turn it into a hatchback, which would be more work than you are probably willing to put in. All 92-95 Civic SI's were hatches.

But if you refer to the 99-00 SI coupes, the closest you will get is by swapping the B16A2 engine/tranny. You can probably make the front fenders/headlights/bumper fit with a bit of modification. The seats will likely also fit. I don't know about the dash.

I want to know what the difference is? Is my EX the same as if they made an Si model? What makes an Si ?

I like my car and got it for 1000$ Why would I do somthing as stupid as sell it ? I dont want an Si that bad I just want to know what the difference is?

They made a HB Si in 94... What makes that an Si? The options? The motor? The apearance?

What motor came in the 94 Si?

The SI is the top-of-the-line hatchback offered. It came with the D16Z6 engine, shared with the EX coupe and sedan. It also came with a sunroof, and optional power accessories (windows, locks, mirrors). The transmission also has a slightly different 5th gear. From the front it looks identical to an EX coupe.

I forgot about that, only the EX w/ ABS had rear discs. The SI also has a rear sway bar.

Ok, thats what I needed to know, so in a way I already have an Si, its just in coupe form?

I was wondering why I had rear disks... I have seen other EX's without, so the ones without meens they dont have ABS?

I already have a front and rear sway bar...

i hate the way that sounds.. adding these minor modifications dont justify naming you're car an si.

There's more to it that that. The Si (92-95):
  • manual tranny only
  • hatchback
  • lighter
  • and some years had disc brakes in the rear
