Double check the timing to make sure it is correct.

Ahhh might be that you have 2 plugs is the wrong place. When I did my LS swap I messed up and had 2 plugs in the each others place and the car would not rev past 3g. Check that out.

adjusting the timing on a z6 isn't too hard... my z6 idles at about 750... if your's is idling higher than that you should adjust the timing anyway.

For what its worth:

A buddy of mine did a B16 swap on a CRX and had this problem. Yeah, I know.. different engine, but I'm willing to bet the computers work similarly.

He had something silly go wrong with his computer (he installed a socket so he could replace the chip easily), one of the pins was bent on the chip or it was in backward. I wasn't there, so I'm not 100% what it was.

Anyway, it put the thing into limp mode and it wouldn't rev past about 3000rpm.

Something to consider anyway..
