hey guys/girls i replaced my z6 engine and everything is hooked up? anyways i get the car started and it will rev to 3 grand and i guess for better words bog down or cut off.the check engine light isn't on,if you guys have any idea's what it could be that would be great thanks

Double check the timing to make sure it is correct.

Ahhh might be that you have 2 plugs is the wrong place. When I did my LS swap I messed up and had 2 plugs in the each others place and the car would not rev past 3g. Check that out.

the timing should be fine it was pulled from one car and stored for about a month and put in my car,it should be any problem with timing?

adjusting the timing on a z6 isn't too hard... my z6 idles at about 750... if your's is idling higher than that you should adjust the timing anyway.

For what its worth:

A buddy of mine did a B16 swap on a CRX and had this problem. Yeah, I know.. different engine, but I'm willing to bet the computers work similarly.

He had something silly go wrong with his computer (he installed a socket so he could replace the chip easily), one of the pins was bent on the chip or it was in backward. I wasn't there, so I'm not 100% what it was.

Anyway, it put the thing into limp mode and it wouldn't rev past about 3000rpm.

Something to consider anyway..
