Once again!
Ok we have gone throw 3 tranny's already. Kinda getting pissed at the fact that this thing keeps going on. We have a 97 hatch with a 96 gsr. First we had a gsr tranny, Then a type r (lsd), now we have a gsr again. This tranny is about to give out. How do we know you might ask? Because Both the other tranny's would get to a point that 3rd would be a bit of a bitch to get into here and there and 5th would just pop out at any given time. Both these things are happening now. The car was an auto. When I converted everything and did the swap at the sametime I installed everything with np. Now 2 people have told me that you need to get things JUST RIGHT with converting from auto to manny. I punched out the 2 wholes that where already marked in the center for the linkage. All the gears go in fine. The hydro lines I guess are good cause gears go in and all. Clutch is brand spanken new cause we installed it with the second tranny. The wheel alingment is bad so we gotta get that fixed. First we gotta get some new tires. Linkage and all is stiff as it should be. Clutch pedal is fine. Everything is fine!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH. I don't know what the hell it could be. We drive the car fine. When we drive it hard everything seems fine. I just don't understand what the hell is going on. I mean 3 tranny's in the last month. gsr $500 plus $200 for install. TyprR $1200 plus $200 install, Now another gsr $500 plus $200 install shit we are dropping crazy money and we could have had turbo and juice put it. Can someone help please!
Ohh and the car was hit in the front but when we had the auto D motor in we beat the hell outta that motor and it never gave us a problem!
Thanks for any help you give!

um, if 5th gear randomly pops out while in gear, it's a good indication of low transmission fluid. Check the levels, and don't use gear/motor oil for transmission fluid. I would at minimum use Honda MTF, perhaps even GM Synchromesh FM or Redline MTF.
wilsel = We are driving the car fine. Driver is not the issue.
igo4bmx = I was thinking about it but all the gears go in fine. When we had the type r tranny we had to hold the shifter in 5th gear for like 30-40 miles so it would not pop out.
racerdave = Thinking about doing that.
XCM828 = Just change the ECU and jump 2 sets of wires.
Paul = I was thinking that. I gotta check it out. But I mean 3 tranny's with low oil? The guy says it's fine both times.
Well Im gonna see if I redrill some new holes and move the linkage up a bit. But I don't think that's it because all the gears go in fine.
