Default Obd conversion help

hey guys, I have a problem that I've come too and need some help. Tried searching but didn't find any answers.

I've got an obd2a-obd1 conversion harness and a P06 ecu, I'm trying to put them in my 96 dx coupe. the ecu isn't chipped, but will be later on.

I tried plugging in the new ecu just to make sure that it worked right before a chip it, and the car starts, but soon after the MIL comes on and it starts idling odd. it's not a jumping idle, but just bouncing 200 rpm or so up and down. I'm thinking IACV, but need some expert opinion. I thought that obd conversion didn't require anything but the ecu and harness, is there something else I need?

thanks

I didn't check the code, I just switched back to my stock ecu. I found out that I need a 2 wire IACV, because my Y7 has a 3 wire one. but I'm not really sure what I need to switch over to the 2 wire one, anybody done this before?

from what the conversion text said... the EX & HX and B-series have the two wire.
since I'd guess that only the EX & HX will fit your DX, that should be what you need.

hmm this is shitty for 2 reasons, first I have to find a 2 wire iacv w/ plug, and second I think I'm gonna need a new throttle body because my IACV is built into my throttle body. You'd think there would be more talk of this with how many people convert to obd1.

I'd guess it's because most people convert to OBD1 with a swap or go with the EX mani.

yea actually I do have an EX mani, but I kept the Y7 throttle body with the built in IACV, I ended up gettting a z6 throttle body and z6 IACV, and now I'm just doing the wiring and everything should be good. thanks again for your help meng
