Default Engine swap

I have a 1997 RED Hatchback Civic.
I got it with 1300cc engine with a transmission. I want to juice it up with some serious juice. Im thinking of dropping in 1800cc double overhead cam vtech (how many horses does this engine produce anyway). I also considering a1600cc double overhead cam vtech (how many horses does this engine produce anyway ). What do I have to take into consideration, what are the draw backs and or benefits of useing one engine versus another. Guys i need help

Dude, you seriously need help. Check out http://www.bseries.net for your questions. I know what you're talking about when you say 1800cc but the 1.8 is actually 1797cc - try to stick to L instead of cc because that's how these engines are referred.

Also, DOHC is DUAL overhead cam. You may want to look at the sticky above for "simple questions".

I dunno man cause I just looked at edmunds and all '97s are 1.6 (or 1600 cc)

Prolly a typo or a "thought that was right"
