Default jumping engines

ive got this idea of swaping my d16z6 from my 95 civic ex del sol and putting an acura rsx engine and tranny in there. been told outside of the internet it can be done bc its both honda engines. is that true. i really want a 6 spd but i also love the engine.
if u have any information to help me decide spill it. thanks

When it's all said and done, you can probably get a 4G63 in there for around the same price.

It's way more complicated then a simple swap.

yes, I can imagine that the wiring for the full new system that the K series has should be a real genuine bitch.

Yeah, for swaps like that I would seriously look into a Haltech E6X or something.

thatd be fun to mess around with, arent they quite pricey? They control injection too, right?

Haltech computers do virtually anything you want them to. Besides the basic complete fuel and timing map functions, they can control water injection and a pile of RPM based shit from a few multi-use ports in them.

The nice thing is you can configure them to use a wide variety of sensors, like the good 'ole GM 3 bar MAP and the like. This means more to guys like me though, who can ditch stock AFM's for standard MAP sensors and use better TPS's.

yeah I can definetly see how cool it would be to get your hands one one.

If I was going to do some horribly radical swap, like a K series, I would actually think about investing into it.

From the sounds of it you can have it control vtec engagement too , since its just a signal wire to solenoid, and it can control RPM engaged stuff.

Would be cool to have an RPM actuated Co2 or nitrous intercooler bar.

The gains over a B-series swap aren't worth it.
