TPS sensor
the TPS is a three pin variable resistor (potentiometer if you will) connected to the intake butterfly opposite the throttle cable.
There isn't a way to clean it, but if you managed to get it 'dirty' you've done something that hasn't been done before.
If it's throwing you the code there is probably a wire bad, the TPS seldom has issues unless you've done something to it to cause problems.
if you really want to test it, switch the ignition to Run with the engine not running. Find the wire coming from the sensor that has just under 1volt on it with no tension on the throttle cable. (I think it's the middle wire) Gently open the throttle and the voltage should rise at a smooth rate.
if there's no voltage or full power all the time then you have wiring problems. If the voltage rises choppily or stutters then your TPS may be bad.
