Default Type-R sway bar problem

well i got my beaks quickswap in and bolted it up :-) i have been taking turns really nicely and i am very happy with it. but yesterday the endlink was hitting my exhaust so i was going to wrap the endlink bolt with exhaust repair to absorb the vibration. i saw that the endlink bushing the onlt that the bolt goes through the bushing to the LCA came out, the endlink was just chilling 1 inch away from it and the bushing was still bolted up to the LCA!!!! LOL

Should i put a spacer on the lca endlink bolt to make the endlink comout farther and not be on such a angle so this doesnt happen again? any sugesstions?

I have the same problem with mine. I have a gsr rear swaybar and my endlink hits my exhaust. One thing i did so that it wouldn't hit as bad is that i fliped the endlink so that the welded on nut faced the wheel. But it still hits. I made a post and never got an answer. So im interested in a way to fix it too.

I'm not sure I exactly understand the question

I solved the bashing muffler problem by moving my muffler h:

But you're saying the endlink bushing tore out of the endlink? And the endlink was just flopping around on the bolt? If thats the case, you need to replace your endlink bushing (or maybe even the whole endlink, as I'm not sure they sell those bushings individually). You cant have the swaybar not firmly connected to the LCA, not only would it not work properly, it might make the car irratic.

If the endlink doesn't bolt up flush, I don't see how putting a few washers in there as a spacer would hurt, but I didn't have that problem. :dunno:

BTW, how are your front mounting bracket thingys holding up

I would get a new endlink, but I suppose a washer would keep it on.

the OEM bolt has a small washer built on to it, but anything more than that and you should replace the bushing anyway.

the brackets are working great never been a problem,
i talked to Wil at Beaks he told me to unhook the swaybar from my chassis then bolt up the endlinks then the chassis. well i did that but it seems like the passengerside doesnt line up correctly its allways on a "/" it looks like that slash. when i find my charger i will take pictures

all I can come up with is that either your passenger side endlink is damaged (bent somehow), or the endlink mounting hole on your megan LCAs is just slightly off... If you didn't have any problems with your old 14mm swaybar, I would assume its probably the endlink. Since your bushing is ****ed anyway, replace that endlink and see if that doesn't help anything. Its also possible your swaybar itself is damaged, but that would be far less likely (and would be pretty apparent from visual inspection).
