Well, too bad I'm broke. Since my parents are fronting the money and listen to the mechanic all I'm getting is another engine from a DX swapped into my car. An engine with 136,000 miles. All for $1,000. My father tells me that JDM engines don't fit USDM cars without modifications, and that to swap it myself along with friend's help is something I should never do. I should buy that JDM engine with my next paycheck just to be an ass. Then swap it out myself as well. Heh. O well, don't know if anyone really cares, just wanted to give an update. That makes it $4k gone into this car in two months (including purchase price).

 

for a grand you can find a cheap LS somewhere and swap it urself
it took me and 2 buddies and a rented engine crank to swap it into a 90 crx only 2 days

Yea, but since I'm not paying for it I have to do what my father wants. It's free to me and as long as it lasts 12 months I'm happy. I'm starting to save now for a nice swap in a year depending on how much I can save and how much money I spend on beer these next two semesters.

I'm in NYC. I was pissed off at first but don't care too much now. I was planning on saving my money for a nice swap next summer so I'll just keep to that plan.
