where can i find an engine?

Default where can i find an engine?

im located in so cal...and i was wonderin if anyone knows where or has hook ups for engines...i drive a 95 civic dx manual 4-door...and i am lookin for a new engine for daily driving and every now and then speeding on the freeway =X but nothing too crazy...any suggestions on what motor and where to find one?

hrmm looks like someone needs to research and figure out for themselves. you could swap any of a shit load of motors into that car all with different benefits. Im not nor will anyone else list all these options for you. Im sure you already have some sort of idea what the most popular swaps are out there so why not start with those and see which one will suit your needs best. For what you said you want to do the DX engine is still capable of speeding on the freeway.... Its not all that hard to get up to 80 or 90 even with your stock engine, It just takes a little more time to get there. Plus only a few engines will beat your current MPG.

If you're not going to be racing it or whatever and you just need some more power, for the best bang for the buck, I would go with the B18A/B (LS motor).

yea its not that hard but i juss wanna beat a couple more cars to it sometimes...kinda like surprise someone while they arent expecting it from a regular ol' civic with a CF hood.

It's going to take a lot to surprise somebody these days. With a LS motor swap and great driving, you're lucky to hit mid-high 14's, which, to today's standards, is just average.
