Default Can I replace starter and distributor myself?

I am new to fixing Hondas and new to this forum. I fix my Volvo 740's quite easily but am about to take on my daughter's Honda Civic, which her mechanic tells her needs a new starter and distributor. These things are relatively easy to do on my Volvo - what have been people's experiences with these repairs? Thanks.

Ya it's easy. Distributor is the easiest, three bolts, disconnect connectores and out. Now when you put it back in it only fits one way, so if t does not go in easy flip the ear.

The starter is also easy, remove the air box tube, for easier access, disconnect the battery, remove wires, remove two bolts and out. Might have to fiddle around with a few coolant hoses

only thing about replacing the distributor is setting the timing. you'll need a timing "gun" for that.
