Hi guys, I have a quick question. is there a wire or switch on the tranny, or car somewhere that tells the ECU, or even that I could tap into to see if the car was in gear or not? much like when you shift into reverse, the reverse lights com on, something like that but that would complete a circuit if the car was in neutral opposed to in any of the gears?

No sure about manual, but I know at school, my teacher showed us something for automatics that you can make the tranny run and switch gears with a controller..to see if it's going in a gear.
