Default I HATE jacking up my car.. i think i bent my subframe!!!!!!!

this is for the rear of a 97 civic coupe:
grrrr why can't they make this easier. i hate jacking up my car and getting it on jackstands safely.. i always feel like i'm gona ruin something on my car.

i bent part of my subframe from jacking it up. please tell me where it is safe to freaking jack up my car and stuff. for the project i'm doing now, i need to have the jack stands on the jack points. so i can't jack from there.

also.. when i set it down on a jack stand at the jack point the bar that hangs down didn't reach the middle of the jack stand.. like the stand was actually holding up the car by the sideskirt and now i have a fine crack in the bottom of the skirt.

here are pics of the subframe:

please help!

Luke

What exactly are you trying to do?

If you want to raise the rear, position the jack on the tow hook, that is the rear jacking point.

ugh, that tow hook look so sketch, and its such a small area to put a jack on. I always put it where he did, but never had that problem.

i need to finish up my suspension. should i use a 2x4 or anything? or just put the jack right up on the rear tow hook?

why did the subframe bend at all? i mean, and look at the underneath shot, theres even a hole on the right side of the right tooth mark

what should i do about the subframe now???

find a piece of tire and put it over your jack to give it some cushion. also like MaxBoosT said there are other jack points to use which will free up your current spot for the jack stands.

The rear tow hook IS a jacking point, which jack are you using? It seems like the one from the car or something if you're saying it's not contacting enough. I use one of those "EZ up" pump jacks from Sears and it has a round surface area that is enough.
