Don't waste your time with hi-temp paint, either. Just let it rust.

Poor man's route is a custom aluminum heat shield. Metal is real easy to polish before it's folded into shape. In fact, you can buy it that way.

...either that or use header wrap which is supposed to be ugly, but helps keep the temps down, too. Stinks like a fothermucker, though.

A few things Id like your guy's opinions on...

The intercooler...should I leave it blingin or paint it black for stealth/theft purposes (my last car was stolen)??

Exhaust...cant decide if I wanna run an ecutout or just run 3" piping back to a flat black es oval muffler.

Let me know what you guys think I should do for those couple of things.

Painting it would defeat the whole purpose of the intercooler.

It insulates the porous aluminum surface of the fins from the passing air. Paint is a thermal insulator believe it or not. It fills in all the pores, and would kill its efficiency... because air wouldn't be touching the fins.

really, i didnt realize taht the fact that aluminum was "pourous" mattered. i thought it was just a matter of convection of heat...

but does make sense, it keeps the heat in. In that case, i hope my audi intercooler is just black, and not painted (stock)

Anodizing is okay. A lot of Buick Grand National intercoolers are anodized black.
