Don't waste your time with hi-temp paint, either. Just let it rust.

Poor man's route is a custom aluminum heat shield. Metal is real easy to polish before it's folded into shape. In fact, you can buy it that way. :thumbup:

...either that or use header wrap which is supposed to be ugly, but helps keep the temps down, too. Stinks like a fothermucker, though.
