engine popping?
hey i gotta 92 civic with a b18b whenever i start the car up it pops a little and also when i let off the throttle but usually only does it at 2000rpm n lower but it runs pretty good under throttle i just replaced the o2 n the plugs but the tips where white when i checked them later on ? any help would be nice thanx
You're detonating. White plugs = lean condition in the combustion chamber. Change your fuel filter, and if you didn't upgrade the ECU, fuel line at the rail, or the injectors when you did your swap, then there could be much bigger restrictions than your fuel filter to your fuel flow.
Usually you'd experience that at WOT, though, not off-throttle unless your TPS sensor either isn't hooked up or is damaged.

i changed the fuel filter 6000miles ago, im running a p75 ecu , and the injectors came with the motor. If i remember correctly my d was doing the same thing? when i let off the throttle my a/f guage drops n pops then it goes up again n stops popping nthis continues till i hit the throttle again! could it be my pump? or schould i get an adj fpr with guage?
Get a pump for sure. Check the resistance in the wiring harness, too. That's a PITA to do, but you could have a wiring problem that could cause this as well. Especially if you change out the pump and it still does it. If you search DSM forums, you will find information about how to rewire your fuel pump directly to the battery with a relay, eliminating the 40 or so feet of spliced and respliced wires that run your pump. You can use thicker gauge wire, too. It's good for a few PSI, so that's why DSMers do it, but if yours is broken, it's worth a read. check these sites...

www.plymouthlaser.com < this guy sold his last DSM, but was nice enough to keep the site around. Go there while you still can. He's got a bunch of great turbo hacks.
