B-16b piston in a B-16a block??
Is it ok to put b-16b pistons in a b-16a (EF) block? Ive heard stories that the block height of the b-16b is much higher than a b-16a (whats does deck height mean? Cuz the b-16b has a higher deck height compared to a b-16a block).. Will this upgrade blow my engine? ( i mean will the valve touch my pistons due to lower block height? - if the rumors are right)
I have b-16b cams in my head so i wanted to raise my compression ratio to match the cams i have.. But im thinkin twice in doing it cuz it might blow my engine off..
Need help guys.. Or is there a site or articles in how to do this upgrade.. Need technical help really bad..
More Hp to ya all!! Drive safe..

I don't think you can do it, because I believe your valves will touch the pistons. You should go to http://www.theoldone.com and search the forums, etc. I think I remember this being discussed over there.

tnx...
Can you also tell what deck height means?.. Is this the same as block height?
cuz a b-16b block has a much higher deck height than the b-16a..
Also when using the b-16b pistons, will this mod affect my engine the same as the b-16b or will it give the same results to a stock b-16b (head specs excluded)?
