Default new tranny!

hey im getting a new tranny for my 93 civic with a b16 swap......any suggestions or input on which tranny would be best for performance or best cost. any input on the pros and cons of the trannies available id like to know what you guys think.

*edit* also where would be the best place to get one from online or best options on where to go to find the tranny i end up going with.

best for performance would be jdm itr tranny with 4.7 final drive... but that would kill your gas mileage on freeway etc.. best overall would just be to stick with a b16 tranny I think.. GSR is a little longer geared tranny and LS is crap....

I would get a b16 tranny... and if you decide you want even more performance later just put an itr final drive in it later on and an lsd...

best trannys (best-> worst):
- 98+ ITR with 4.7 fd, lsd
- 96-97 ITR with 4.4fd, lsd
- 92-00 B16a (same gears as itr) 4.4 fd, opt. lsd
- 94+ GSR, opt LSD
- dont even think about using a b20 or LS trannny... the long gears will kick your ass

ok i like to hear that, i found a ls tranny for 700 but i guess thats prolly not a good idea... any ideas on where to find a new tranny?

CTR tranny is nice my buddy got one for 700 shipped with his b20vtec
