Default CEL Code 41 - New Info - Reward for fix

Ok, so WCS and I have gone through all the testing, and nothing came up as bad.

We swapped a new ECU, came back with a 1 code, which is still the primary O2.

We changed the O2 three times, I just put a stock Honda one in yesterday.

We checked all the wiring, everything was showing continuity and power.

The one thing that is odd, is that when the harness was unplugged from the ECU, the plug wires on the sensor only showed 2 grounds, when the ECU was plugged in, all 4 were grounds.

I am still getting this code, and Honda will not touch it now since it has a turbo.

There is a $10 paypal reward for someone who can tell me the correct fix.

:edit:
Here is the previous posts about this:

CEL.... Again

so which code are you getting? 1 or 41??? I have no idea what you mean by plug and grounds, and etc.

You said "again" which leads me to believe you had another thread.... so go ahead and refrence it in your post....

He got both a 1 and a 41. Pulled a 41 with his ECU, changed out the ECU with another one from a '99 EX and pulled a 1. :loco:

Yeah, I thought the same thing....

When I told them that it had the turbo and that it had a wired in controller to change the A/F ratio and things like that, they just said that they would not work on it since it could be anything.

I want to put another ECU on it now that I know that the O2 sensor is brand new and see if it comes up with another code. The first time that we did it the 02 could have been wired wrong..... I need to find someone with an 99-00 EX...

in the other thread, you mentioned that you swapped in an obd2 O2. And you are right, the wiring is the same.

This happened before and after the turbo? Did you ahve ANYTHING that touched any wiring on the car before this (like an AF gauge, vafc, etc)?
The one thing I'm thinking is with the wiring, you said all four are grounding when the ecu is hooked up. When you hook up the ecu, there will be a path to ground (a very long and comlicated route, but a route none the less), but it shouldn't show up as one, since it would have to work it's way back through the cicuitry. I would have my money on it being a wire that has rubbed through, maybe two, and are grounding eachother out. Shit, that's easy to have happen when you're moving the harness around for something as easy as a header install. Rare, but possible. The other thing I would check is the connection for the harness at the shock tower. If there is any sort of crud, water, etc in the connector, that would mess with it. I'd also check the plug on the wiring harness where the O2 plugs in. Could be a bent pin. That would cause some problems, and couple possibly fry an o2...

I hate to say it, but this is the kind of post that I go to any message board for. IT'S A TECHNICAL PROBLEM! The whole "can I put this lip on my car" or "wow, these wheels are pretty" don't get any reaction from me. In this case, I'm more than happy to help. If you need to brainstorm on AIM, hit me up.

are you using an OEM o2 sensor or are you using a universal splice in o2 sensor? I have had problems with "cheap" splice in o2 sensors.

None of the wiring was touched before this happened. I was driving back to Alabama from WV, and my CEL came on.

I am not familiar with the term "shock tower" could you elaborate??

Any other suggestions are welcome, you have been very helpful, but like I said I really don't want to have to pull the wiring harness for one wire, but if that is the problem, I will.....

the sock tower is where the top of the shock bolts in. Like where you'd bolt a strut bar on. The wiring harness has 2-3 plugs there. Been a while since I've worked on an obd2 car. I'm still stuck in 5th gen land...
