Default Still Random Check Engine Light

I went to autozone when the light was on, and they said they wont check it for insurance purposes or something. The light comes on after about 10 min of driving. If the car is turned off light doesnt come back on till car is driven for another 10 minutes or so. I was told the car may be running a little too rich when the light comes on. I also get a slight power sagg when car is about 3-5k rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear. Is there an air sensor that may be causing it to run too rich? Every thing is stock, nothing has been modded yet.
The car drives fine but the light is bugging me. Its a 93 del sol SI with a d16z6 motor. Any info is greatly appreciated

Go to your passenger side, pretend your sitting in the seat. Pull back the carpet underneath and to your immediate right of the glovebox. Right under the right part of the glovebox, you'll see a green rubber thing. Pull that out (it may be taped to something) and there are 2 harnesses within it. Take the smaller one out (2 connectors, and taking it out can be very tricky) then take a paper clip and connect the 2 wires together, you won't get shocked... Now make sure it is in there good and turn the car to the ON position (not start) and you'll see the check engine light strobe. Long flashes indicate the tens number and short flashes indicate single digit numbers.

Say it flashes 2 long flashes then 5 short flashes...it's 25... the bring us back which number you got from it. But you may get numerous numbers, if it doesn't repeat the number '25' over and over, you have more than one error. Take the paper clip out and return it to its position.

The CEL never comes on when the engine is off :slap: that'd eventually kill the battery if you ever went on vacation.

ok, the flashes i get are: One Short, 4 long, 3 short (Repeat)

so is that 2 codes?
first short would be 10?
Second code would be 43?

its the senson its the oldest problem in the book actually the only problem is that when you really have an error you wont be able to read it because you'll think the light is on all always!

Is the wires in the same place to check codes in a 2000 civic?
