Wut is the number thats engraved all over the motor called? like how PR-4 is engraved all of the b18 like on the head on the pistons etc. and also does anyone have a link that tells wut motor each serial or wutever represents. and does anyone happen to know what that code would be on a si?

 

Si of what year?

92-95 Si's will have a "P08" cast into the head, the 99-00's will have a "PR3"

If you are a little more specific we can probably help, but I don't know of any complete lists of casting numbers.

 

i think he means the engine serial right below the engine stamp

 

He's actually talking casting/parts numbers, PR4 is the casting code of B18A/B and B20B/Z heads, as well as the prefix to the part numbers of many of the components on the engines. The engine serial number only appears once on the engine code stamp.

 

do u know wut the casting code for a gsr is? and also do u have a link to casting codes for hondas?

 

I think the GSR is a P72. I know that's what the ECU is, but it's on all sorts of GSR motor parts. h:

 

also PR3 is on a lot of the b16 parts I have noticed... that would be a good idea to make a casting code list.. maybe I'll try to compile one for my site for future reference.... for all those people who have a piston and no idea what it came out of
