Default Lowering spring problems!!!

So I just installed my new tein s techs on the rear struts of my 95 civic. Couple of questions though.

1: Why does it look like the springs acctually raised the ride hight in the back, now remember that I have not yet put the front ones on, so is it possible that when the fronts are installed the back will lower? Also one of my friends told me that I may need to let the springs settle then it lower, if this is true about how long will this take?

2: Second problem; when we recomressed the struts to bolt it onto the rear hub the passenger rear strut started to leak oil. Then when we lowered the car back onto the wheels then the driver one started to leak oil as well. All in all the both leaked plenty of oil. When driving the car it does not seem to bounce, but I do know that I need to replace them. So what would you guys recomened for replacment struts and were can I get them. Also about how serious is this problem?

Thanks for the help

it is quite possible that you put the fronts on the back and the backs on the front...thicker springs in front...and as far as the struts....replace them immediately

I has some friends of mine that work at a shop put the springs on and they assured me that they put the right ones on. Keep in mind that the fronts are not on yet

here is my next problem we just insatlled the front springs and the ride height is extremly to low. You cant even fit one finger between the fender and the tire. also it bounces witch we think is the front struts are bad and new one would fix, but that would explain the low ride in the front, also I we cant figure out why the back is jacked up higher than stock and the front is so low. We know that put the right springs on the front and the right ones on the back

Please help

Yeah this is a textbook case of having the front springs in the rear and vice versa.

I dont understand how I could have out them on backward. I put the thicker springs with rubber on some of the coils on the front. Also the one that are on the front were "progressive" in that the coils got closer together down at the bottom is this not right for the front?

Yep. The longer springs go in the front and the shorter in the rear.
