Nothing to answer your question here but if you take out the drivers seat and lay down with a pillow along your back, it'd make it easier for you to maneuver around in there, and this thread is informative to me. I'm doing this in the future...maybe after you're done you can help me out with some problems?

I never thought of that. Good idea. I'll try my best to help you in the future if you decide to do the swap

When I was doing that, I sat there for a while with different wrenches, 1/4 turn at at time, I was 18 when doing that, and my back was still aching... pain in the ass.

I don't think there's an easy way to do it, other than contort yourself and feel pain later.

it's just that the pedal assembly is just so big and bulky...did you have to take anything else out before you able to twist and maneuver it out?

i did a conversion on my car as well. i had to remove the pedals first then the brakets and then i had to install the new brakets first then the pedals. the brakets are hard to get out but they will come out, you just have to work at it and be patient.

Alright...I think I'm gonna do what you said and take the pedals off first, and also take the seat out so I can lay on my back(very good idea).

Ok...I tried to get the pedals out again, and I was extremely patient. I'm talking 3 hours patient. I took the seat out, which really did help-it was alot more comfortable, and i dropped the steering column a bit, but still no luck. I give up. I think I'm just going to have to live with the giant brake pedal.
