I can't get the pin out

I tried to change the gas and brake pedals on my car because I did an auto to manual swap. I was able to get all the nuts off, disconect the throttle cable, but when I tried to get the pin out of the brake pedal that connects it to the brake booster(I think that's what it's called), it wouldn't budge. I yanked at it with a pair of pliers, but no luck. Does anyone know how to get it out?

There's a cotter pin that holds the keeper pin on the MC push rod to the brake pedal.

Before yanking and pulling on it with a pair of pliars, step away and come back later. You will break something if you force it...

Did you remove the cotter pin and the keeper pin?

which is which? I'm trying to remove the flexible pin that is inside that other pin. The pin that is bent around the other one. I bent it up straight and tried to pull it out, but it won't come out.

If I remember right it has a release on the other side of the cotter pin. You have to unhook it (kind of like a safety pin) before it'll come off. A picture would really help better than words.

Kind of like this:

You have to remove that pin or the keeper won't come out. Cut the back half of it off with some wire cutters and then pull it out. It can be a pain because if it's bent at all it probably won't want to come out. That is your problem though.

I got the damn pin out and took out all the screws, but I still can't get the pedals off. There isn't enough room under there to maneuver. I even dropped the steering column but that was no help at all. If that metal piece the brake was connected to on the firewall wasn't there it would be extremely easy. How do I get the pedals off from here?
